Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Almaty city center. Head southeast on Al-Farabi Avenue towards the mountains, merging onto the A2 road. Continue on the A2 until you reach the turning for the Ile-Alatau National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance, and pay the entrance fee, which is approximately 500 KZT per person. Once inside the park, follow the main road until you reach the designated parking area near the trailhead for Bear Waterfall. The parking area is located at approximately 3WMV+Q84. From the parking area, a hiking trail leads directly to Bear Waterfall.

Public Transportation
To reach Bear Waterfall via public transportation, take a bus or marshrutka (minibus) from Almaty to the town of Medeu. Look for bus routes 12 or 28 that go towards Medeu. Once you arrive at the Medeu bus station, you can catch a local taxi or arrange a shared taxi to take you to the entrance of Ile-Alatau National Park. After arriving at the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of around 500 KZT per person. From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trail which will lead you to Bear Waterfall, located near coordinates 3WMV+Q84.

Once you've parked your car or arrived at the park via public transport, prepare for a hike to Bear Waterfall. The trail is well-marked and takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level. It's recommended to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water. Follow the signs leading to Bear Waterfall; the trail will take you through beautiful forested areas and along the river, offering scenic views of the surrounding mountains.
