Car
If you're driving, make your way to the Kolsai Lakes National Park entrance, which is approximately 40 kilometers from the town of Saty. Follow the 'Kolsai Lakes' signs from Saty. Once you reach the park entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of around 500 KZT (Kazakhstani Tenge) per person. After entering the park, continue driving for about 10 kilometers until you reach the parking area near Kolsai Lake. From the parking area, it is a short 15-minute walk to the lake itself.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Kolsai Lake using public transportation, take a bus from Almaty to Saty village. Buses leave from the Sayakhat Bus Station in Almaty, and the journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Saty, you can either hire a taxi or take a local minibus (marshrutka) to the entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park. The taxi ride should cost around 3000 KZT, and the marshrutka is about 500 KZT per person. After entering the park, you will need to walk around 10-15 minutes from the entrance to reach the first Kolsai Lake.

If you're already in Kolsai Lakes National Park and wish to hike to Kolsai Lake, start from the park entrance. Follow the marked trails leading towards the lake. The hike is relatively easy and takes about 1 hour. Ensure you have comfortable hiking shoes and carry sufficient water. The path is well-traveled, but it's advisable to take a map or use a GPS app for navigation.
