If you are driving, start from the entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park. Follow the main road that leads you into the park, continuing straight until you reach the first parking area near Kolsai Lake 1. From there, park your car and take the marked hiking trail towards Lower Kolsai Lake. The trail is well maintained, and you will see signs directing you. The hike will take approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have suitable footwear and water for the hike.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus or a shared taxi from Almaty to Saty village, which is the closest village to Kolsai Lakes National Park. Buses leave regularly from the Sayakhat Bus Station in Almaty. Once you arrive in Saty, you can hire a local taxi to take you to the entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park. The taxi ride will cost around 3000-5000 KZT. Upon entering the park, follow the same instructions as for the car, hiking from the parking area near Kolsai Lake 1 to Lower Kolsai Lake.
