Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Moshi town. Head north on B1 towards the Uru Road exit. Take the Uru Road and continue for about 10 kilometers. You will reach the entrance to the Materuni waterfalls and coffee plantation. There is a sign indicating the entrance. Ensure you have some cash on hand for entry fees, which typically cost around 10,000 TZS per person.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Materuni by public transportation, take a daladala (local minibus) from Moshi town towards Uru. The fare is usually around 1,000 TZS. Get off at the Uru junction and then walk about 2 kilometers to reach the entrance of Materuni waterfalls and coffee plantation. Be prepared for a bit of a hike. The last daladala back to Moshi usually leaves by 6 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the Uru area or prefer to walk, you can hike from the Uru village to the Materuni waterfalls. The walk is scenic but can take about 1-2 hours depending on your pace.
