Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the main entrance of Mount Kenya National Park, head southeast on the main road (A2) towards Nanyuki. Continue for approximately 14 kilometers until you reach the junction with the C77 road. Turn right onto C77 and follow it for about 5 kilometers until you see signs for Mount Kenya National Forest. The entrance is located at RQ5F+33Q, Belle Vue. Be aware that there might be a park entry fee, so have some cash ready.

  • Public Transportation

    From Nanyuki town, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Meru or Chuka. Inform the driver you want to stop at the turn-off for Mount Kenya National Forest. The fare typically ranges from 100 to 200 KES. Once you alight at the turn-off on the C77 road, you can either walk the remaining 5 kilometers to the entrance or arrange for a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) for about 200-300 KES to take you to RQ5F+33Q, Belle Vue.
