Getting There

  • Car

    From Mount Longonot, head east on the B1 road towards Nairobi. After approximately 45 kilometers, take the exit for Muthaiga. Continue straight until you reach the Muthaiga roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Limuru Road. Drive for about 5 kilometers, then turn left onto Karura Forest Drive. Follow the signs to Karura Waterfalls, where you will find parking available.

  • Public Transportation

    From Mount Longonot, take a matatu (shared minibus) heading towards Nairobi. Get off at the Kenyatta Avenue bus stop. From there, you can take another matatu or a taxi to Muthaiga. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Karura Forest on Karura Forest Drive. The entrance to the forest has a small fee, which is approximately 100 KES per person. Once inside the forest, follow the marked trails to reach Karura Waterfalls.
