If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town in North Eastern Province, such as Marsabit. Head towards the town of Nakuru via the A2 highway. After reaching Nakuru, take the B4 road heading north towards Marigat. Continue on the B4 for about 30 kilometers until you see signs for Lake Baringo. Follow the signs to the lake, which will be located approximately 10 kilometers from Marigat. The drive is scenic, and you will encounter local wildlife and beautiful landscapes along the way.

For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Marsabit to Nakuru. The journey may take around 6-8 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you arrive in Nakuru, you can find matatus (shared minivans) heading to Marigat. Ensure you confirm that the matatu is going to Lake Baringo or ask the driver to drop you at the nearest junction. The fare for the bus from Marsabit to Nakuru is approximately KES 1,500, and the matatu fare from Nakuru to Marigat is around KES 200. From Marigat, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the remaining 10 kilometers to Lake Baringo for about KES 300.
