Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the main road in Taita Hills. Head south on the A14 road towards Voi. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for a sign indicating the turnoff to Tsavo West National Park. Take the right turn and follow the signs towards Gatunga. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the sanctuary entrance, which will be on your left. Make sure to bring cash for the park entrance fee, which is approximately 1,500 KES for adults.

Public Transportation
To reach Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary using public transportation, take a matatu (shared minibus) from Taita Hills to Voi. The matatus depart regularly and the fare is around 200 KES per person. Once you arrive in Voi, you will need to take another matatu heading towards Tsavo West National Park. Confirm with the driver that they will drop you at Gatunga. The fare for this leg is about 300 KES. Upon arriving at Gatunga, you can either walk approximately 2 kilometers to the sanctuary entrance or negotiate a motorbike taxi (boda boda) for a small fee, usually around 100 KES.
