Walking
If you are starting from the center of Vientiane, head east on Rue Setthathirath. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Lane Xang. Turn right onto Rue Lane Xang and walk until you see the Patuxai Monument on your left. From Patuxai, take a left onto Rue Khounboulom and follow it for about 1 km. You will see the Lao People’s Army History Museum on your right, near the end of Rue Khounboulom.

Tell the driver you want to go to the Lao People’s Army History Museum located at XJJJ+QJV, Ban Phonkheng. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Confirm the price before getting in to avoid misunderstandings.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops available in the city. Start at the main square and head east along Rue Setthathirath. After about 1 km, turn right onto Rue Lane Xang. Continue straight until you reach Patuxai. From there, turn left onto Rue Khounboulom and cycle straight for about 1 km. The Lao People’s Army History Museum will be on your right.
