    From Maseru, the capital of Lesotho, Malealea Lodge is approximately a 2-hour drive. The most direct route involves taking the A2 south, then turning onto the B40. The final 7 kilometers is a gravel road that can be rough, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Be aware that Google Maps may not be reliable in this area, so it's best to follow directions provided by the lodge or a reliable map. Limited parking is available at the lodge. The cost of fuel for the journey is approximately 200-300 LSL.

  • Public Transport

    From Maseru, take a 4+1 taxi (white car with yellow stripe) from the border post to the Maseru taxi rank. From there, find a minibus heading towards Mafeteng or Quthing and ask to be dropped off at Motsekuoa. From Motsekuoa, wait for a minibus heading to Malealea, which will drop you off at the lodge gates. The total cost for this journey is approximately 80-120 LSL. Minibuses can be infrequent and may require some waiting time.
