From Greater Portland, take Route 77 South towards Cape Elizabeth. Continue on Route 77, which will merge into Route 1 South. Follow signs for South Portland and the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal. Park your car at the terminal (note: parking fees may apply, typically around $10 for a full day). Once parked, take the Casco Bay Lines ferry to Peaks Island, which departs frequently. The ferry ride is about 20 minutes and costs approximately $9. Upon arrival at Peaks Island, walk towards Seashore Avenue. The Fifth Maine Museum is located at 45 Seashore Ave, about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
