Walking
Start at the South Portland Bus Terminal located at 100 Thompson's Point Road. From there, head southeast on Thompson's Point Road toward the intersection with Route 77. Continue straight onto Route 77, which is also known as Ocean Street. Follow Ocean Street as it curves to the right and becomes Shore Road. You'll pass through a residential area, and then continue straight until you reach the entrance of Fort Williams Park. Enter Fort Williams Park, where you will find Portland Head Light. The lighthouse is located at the southern tip of the park and is easily accessible.

Public Transportation
From the South Portland Bus Terminal, take the Metro bus route 21 toward Cape Elizabeth. You will want to get off at the stop near the entrance to Fort Williams Park (approximately a 15-20 minute ride). After disembarking, walk towards the entrance of the park. Once inside, follow the paths leading to Portland Head Light, which is located at the southern end of Fort Williams Park.
