Car
From downtown Portland, take I-295 South towards South Portland. Continue on I-295 for about 5 miles. Take exit 2 for Route 77 South toward Cape Elizabeth. Follow Route 77 for approximately 3 miles, then turn right onto Shore Road. After about 1 mile, you will see the entrance to Portland Head Light on your left. There is parking available at the site.

Public Transportation
If you are taking public transportation, start by taking the METRO bus service from downtown Portland. You can catch the Route 1 bus towards South Portland at the Portland Transportation Center. Ride the bus until you reach the Cape Elizabeth Town Hall stop. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk south along Route 77 to reach Portland Head Light. Follow Route 77 until you see the entrance to the lighthouse on your left.
