From Chinteche, head south on the M5 highway toward Nkhotakota. Continue for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction for the Likoma Island ferry terminal. Turn left and follow the signs to the ferry terminal. The ferry departs several times a day, and it's advisable to check the schedule in advance. The ferry ride to Likoma Island takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Note that there is a fee for the ferry, which may vary, so be prepared for this cost.

To reach Mango Drift via public transport, take a minibus from Chinteche to the Likoma Island ferry terminal. Minibuses frequently depart from Chinteche, and you should ask the driver to drop you off at the ferry terminal. The cost for the minibus ride is minimal, usually around 500 MWK. Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Likoma Island. The ferry ride takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Remember to check the ferry schedule to ensure a smooth journey.
