Getting There

Car
If you are driving from central Chinteche, head south on the main road (M5) towards Nkhotakota. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you see a sign for Sunga Moyo Campsite and Lodge. Turn left onto the dirt road marked by the sign. Follow the dirt road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the campsite entrance. Make sure to drive slowly as the road can be bumpy.

Public Transportation
To reach Sunga Moyo Campsite and Lodge via public transportation, take a minibus from the Chinteche bus station heading towards Nkhotakota. Inform the driver you are going to Sunga Moyo. The fare is usually around 500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). The minibus will drop you off at the nearest point to the campsite. From there, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along the dirt road to reach the lodge. Look for the sign along the road indicating the direction to Sunga Moyo.

If you prefer a more direct route and are willing to spend a bit more, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Chinteche to Sunga Moyo Campsite and Lodge. You can negotiate the fare with the driver, which typically ranges from 2000 to 3000 MWK depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you directly to the lodge entrance.
