    If you are in Bethesda, the quickest way to get to the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture is to take the Metro. Start by walking to the Bethesda Metro Station located at 7600 Wisconsin Ave. Board the Red Line train heading toward Glenmont. Stay on the train for 9 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the Yellow/Green Line transfer. After transferring, take the Yellow Line toward Huntington or the Green Line toward Branch Avenue. Get off at the next stop, which is the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter station. After exiting, walk east along Pennsylvania Ave NW for about 3 blocks until you reach G St NW. Turn left onto G St NW, and the museum will be on your right.

  • Bus

    From Bethesda, you can also take a bus to reach the museum. Look for the Ride On Bus service at a nearby bus stop. Take the Ride On Bus route 34 or 36 towards Silver Spring. Get off at the Rockville Pike & Edson Ln stop. From there, transfer to the Metrobus route 70 or 71 towards the National Mall. Get off at the G St NW & 7th St NW stop. Walk east on G St NW for a few minutes, and you will see the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture on your left.
