Metro
From your location in Bethesda, head to the Bethesda Metro Station, which is located at 7400 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Stay on the train for approximately 25 minutes and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. At Gallery Place-Chinatown, transfer to the Yellow or Green Line towards Branch Ave or Greenbelt, respectively. Ride the Yellow or Green Line for one stop and get off at the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter station. Exit the station and walk southwest on 7th St NW towards Pennsylvania Ave NW. Continue onto 10th St NW, and you will find Ford's Theatre on your left at 511 10th St NW.

Head to the nearest bus stop and take the Ride On Bus Route 34 or 36 towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'Rockville Pike & Montgomery Mall' stop. Transfer to the Metrobus (A4 or C4) to the Friendship Heights Metro Station. From there, take the Metro on the Red Line towards Glenmont. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Transfer to the Yellow or Green Line towards Branch Ave or Greenbelt, respectively, and ride for one stop to Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter. Walk southwest on 7th St NW towards Pennsylvania Ave NW, then turn left onto 10th St NW, where Ford's Theatre is located at 511 10th St NW.

If you are close to the National Mall, you can walk to Ford's Theatre. Start at the Lincoln Memorial and walk along the Reflecting Pool towards the Washington Monument. Continue walking towards the National Archives. From the Archives, head northeast on 7th St NW towards Pennsylvania Ave NW. Turn left onto Pennsylvania Ave NW and continue walking until you reach 10th St NW. Turn left onto 10th St NW, and Ford's Theatre will be on your left at 511 10th St NW.
