Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the Eastern Shore area. Take US-50 W to US-301 N. Continue on US-301 N for approximately 60 miles until you reach the I-95 N ramp. Merge onto I-95 N and continue for about 20 miles. Take exit 27 for I-695 W toward Towson. After approximately 6 miles, merge onto I-70 W toward Frederick. Continue on I-70 W for about 35 miles. Take exit 32 toward US-40 W. Merge onto US-40 W and continue for about 10 miles until you reach Sharpsburg. Turn right onto MD-34 N, then take a left onto E Main St, where you will find Antietam National Battlefield at 302 E Main St, Sharpsburg, MD 21782. Note that there is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle, valid for 3 days.
