Transfer to the Yellow Line or Green Line towards Branch Avenue or Greenbelt respectively. Get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. From there, follow the signs to the National Mall, which is just a short walk away.

  • Bus

    At Rockville, find a bus stop for the Ride On bus system. You can take the Route 46 bus towards the Shady Grove Metro Station. Once you arrive at Shady Grove, transfer to the Metro Red Line and take it towards Glenmont. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station, then transfer to the Yellow or Green Line to L'Enfant Plaza. Once you exit the station, follow signs for the National Mall.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Rockville Town Center, you can take a scenic walk along the Rock Creek Trail. Head south on the trail until you reach the intersection with the Capital Crescent Trail. Follow the Capital Crescent Trail towards Washington, DC. This will eventually lead you to the National Mall, taking about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike and take the Capital Crescent Trail from Rockville.
