From Waldorf, you can take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Bus Route 34 towards Washington, D.C. Board the bus at the Waldorf Marketplace bus stop. The bus will take you to the Branch Ave Metro Station. Once you arrive at Branch Ave, transfer to the Green Line Metro train towards Greenbelt. Ride the train until you reach L'Enfant Plaza Station. From there, transfer to the Yellow Line Metro train towards Mt. Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. Finally, walk to the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum, which is located at 2 Massachusetts Ave NE, about a 10-minute walk from the station. Just head northeast on 7th Street NW, then turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue NE.

You can also take the Metro directly from Waldorf. First, take the MTA Bus Route 34 to the Branch Ave Metro Station. Once you arrive, board the Green Line Metro train towards Greenbelt.
