Train - Commuter Rail
From Boston, head to South Station. Purchase a ticket for the Commuter Rail to Salem on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) service. Once on the train, enjoy the ride which typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival at Salem Station, exit and walk towards the bus stop for the Salem Trolley or a local bus. Alternatively, you can walk to The House of the Seven Gables, which is about a 20-minute walk (approximately 1 mile). Head northeast on New Derby St, then turn left onto Derby St and continue until you reach 115 Derby St.

From Boston, you can take the MBTA bus route 450 or 455 from Haymarket or other central bus stops heading to Salem. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Get off at the stop closest to the Salem Common, then walk east towards Derby St. Follow Derby St until you reach The House of the Seven Gables at 115 Derby St.

Take the ferry from Boston to Salem. Start at Long Wharf and board the Salem Ferry service. The ride is scenic and takes about 50 minutes. Once you dock at the Salem Ferry Terminal, exit and walk along the waterfront towards Derby St, which is a short 15-minute walk. Follow the signs or use a map app to guide you to 115 Derby St.
