Walking
From the heart of the North End, head south on Hanover Street towards the intersection with Cross Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street, and you will find the Old State House at 206 Washington St on your right-hand side after a short walk of about 10 minutes. The route is approximately half a mile and is mostly flat, making it easy to navigate on foot.

Public Transportation (Transit)
If you prefer to take public transportation, you can walk to the Haymarket station. From the North End, head towards Haymarket Square by walking north on Hanover Street. Once you reach Haymarket Square, enter the Haymarket subway station (part of the Green Line). Take the Green Line towards Government Center and transfer to the Blue Line. Take the Blue Line towards Bowdoin. Exit at the Government Center and walk a few blocks down to Washington Street. The Old State House will be on your left at 206 Washington St. Note that the subway fare is approximately $2.40.
