Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Brockton, head towards Main Street and walk north. Continue walking straight for about 1 mile until you reach the Brockton MBTA station. From the station, take the train on the MBTA's Commuter Rail towards South Station. Get off at the North Station stop in Boston. From there, follow signs to the Green Line and take the C or E train towards Lechmere. Get off at the Haymarket stop. Once you exit the station, walk about 5 minutes towards the Charles River and follow signs for Bunker Hill. Monument Square is located at the intersection of Main Street and Bunker Hill Street.

  • Public Transport

    Start at the Brockton MBTA station located at 1-3 Station Street. From there, board the MBTA Commuter Rail on the Framingham/Worcester Line towards South Station. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at South Station to the Orange Line towards Oak Grove. Ride the Orange Line for about 5 stops until you reach Haymarket Station. Exit the station and walk north towards the Bunker Hill area. Monument Square is about a 10-minute walk from the Haymarket Station.

    From Brockton, head to the nearest bus stop for the GATRA (Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority) bus service. Take the GATRA bus towards Taunton and get off at the Taunton Transportation Center. From there, transfer to the GATRA bus heading to Boston. This trip will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Boston bus terminal, you can walk or take the subway (Green Line) from the nearest station to Monument Square, which is a short walk from the Boston Common.
