Transfer to the Alewife-bound Alewife Train (Red Line). Ride the train for about 20 minutes until you reach the Park Street Station. At Park Street, transfer to the Green Line (C or E train) towards Lechmere. Ride for 2 stops and get off at the Government Center stop. From the Government Center, walk toward the City Hall Plaza and take the Orange Line train towards North Station. After 5 stops, get off at the Haymarket Station. Finally, exit the station, and follow signs to cross over the Charles River via the bridge to Charlestown. Once in Charlestown, walk about 10 minutes to Monument Sq, where you will find the Bunker Hill Monument.

From Waltham, walk to the Waltham MBTA Commuter Rail Station. Board the train heading towards North Station. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the station and walk toward the Haymarket area. From Haymarket, walk to the Orange Line subway at Haymarket Station and take it towards Oak Grove. Get off at the Haymarket stop after 1 stop. From there, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Monument Sq in Charlestown, where the Bunker Hill Monument is located.

If you prefer to ride a bike, you can rent one from a nearby bike-sharing service. Start by heading north on Main St towards the Charles River. Use the paths along the river to cycle towards the Charlestown Bridge. Cross over the bridge, which provides scenic views of the river. After crossing, follow the road signage to Charlestown. Continue straight until you reach Monument Sq. The Bunker Hill Monument will be visible in the square.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore on foot, you can walk from Waltham to Charlestown. Starting at the center of Waltham, head towards the Charles River and follow the river path north. This scenic route will take about an hour and a half. Once you reach the Charlestown Bridge, cross over into Charlestown. After crossing, continue straight until you reach Monument Sq. The Bunker Hill Monument will be at the center of the square.
