Walking
From Eastern Market, head west on Mack Avenue towards the intersection with Gratiot Avenue. Continue straight for about 0.8 miles until you reach the intersection with Woodward Avenue. Turn right onto Woodward Avenue and walk north for approximately 0.4 miles. You will pass by the Detroit Historical Museum on your right. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Griswold Street. The Guardian Building will be on your left at 500 Griswold St.

Public Transit - Bus
From Eastern Market, walk to the nearest bus stop at Mack Avenue and Gratiot Avenue. Catch the SMART bus route 125 towards downtown. You will ride for about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the stop at Woodward Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. From there, transfer to the QLine streetcar heading north. Ride for two stops and get off at the Grand Circus Park stop. Walk two blocks west to Griswold Street, and the Guardian Building will be on your right at 500 Griswold St. Note: Bus fare is approximately $1.50.
