If you're starting from the downtown area of Muskegon, head west on Western Avenue towards Muskegon Lake. Continue walking until you reach the lakefront. Once you reach the waterfront, turn right onto Beach Street. Follow Beach Street northward for approximately 1.5 miles. You will pass by various parks and scenic views of the lake. Keep an eye out for the Muskegon South Pierhead Lighthouse, which will be at the end of the pier. The lighthouse is located at 1431 Beach St, Muskegon, MI 49441.

If you prefer public transportation, begin at the Muskegon Area Transit System (MATS) bus stop nearest to you. Take route #1 towards the downtown transfer center. Once you arrive at the transfer center, transfer to route #4, which heads towards the beach. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Beach Street and Lake Street. From there, walk west on Beach Street, and you will see the Muskegon South Pierhead Lighthouse at the end of the pier.

Follow the bike path along the waterfront, which will eventually lead you to Beach Street.
