If you are driving from central Big Woods, start by heading northwest on County Road 4 (Cedar Street). Continue north until you reach the junction with Highway 10. Turn right (east) onto Highway 10 and follow it for about 10 miles. Take the exit for Highway 25 North towards Big Lake. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto County Road 16. Follow County Road 16 for about 3 miles, and you will arrive at Sand Dunes State Forest, which will be on your right.
