If you are driving, start from downtown Red River Valley. Head southeast on Main St toward US-61. Merge onto US-61 S and continue for approximately 10 miles. You will see signs for John A. Latsch State Park. The entrance to the park is located on the right side of the road. Parking is available at the park entrance.
Public Transportation
Take the local bus service that operates within Red River Valley. Check the bus schedule for routes heading towards Minnesota City. Once you arrive in Minnesota City, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach the park entrance along US-61. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as this stretch is along the roadside.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Red River Valley. Follow the bike paths that connect to US-61 S. The ride to John A. Latsch State Park is about 10 miles and offers scenic views along the way. Please ensure you have a bike lock, as bike racks are available near the park entrance.
