Fishing is permitted year-round during normal park hours. From February 1st to October 31st, anglers can harvest up to four trout a day, with a fishing license and trout permit required. From November 1st to January 31st, the pond is open for catch and release only for trout, and only flies, artificial lures, and unscented soft plastic baits are allowed.Beyond fishing, Spur Pond provides a picturesque setting for leisurely walks and picnics. The surrounding area is filled with lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. An accessible parking lot and fishing dock are available. The pond is bordered by Patryla Park, which offers a covered picnic shelter, tennis courts, and a softball field.
