Ozark Actors Theatre: Rolla's Professional Stage

Ozark Actors Theatre (OAT) stands as a cultural cornerstone in Rolla, Missouri, bringing professional live theatre to the Ozarks region. Founded in 1987 by Gail Andrews-Hintz and F. Reed Brown, OAT has been enhancing the community's cultural life for over three decades. As one of the few Equity theatres in the state, OAT is committed to providing opportunities for performing artists and offering varied theatrical works.The theatre operates out of the Cedar Street Playhouse, a converted First Baptist Church that adds a unique historical charm to the theatrical experience. OAT achieved Equity Small Professional Theatre status in 1989, affiliated with the national union for actors and stage managers. This affiliation underscores OAT's commitment to professional standards and quality productions.Throughout the year, OAT produces a range of comedies, dramas, musicals, and reviews, drawing tourists from across Missouri and beyond.
