Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are already in Central West End, head to Maryland Avenue. The World Chess Hall of Fame is located at 4652 Maryland Ave. You can easily walk there from the Central West End MetroLink station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and walk south on Euclid Avenue. Turn left onto Maryland Avenue, and you will find the Hall of Fame on your right.

  • Public Transit - MetroLink

    For visitors coming from other parts of the city, take the MetroLink light rail to the Central West End station. After exiting the train, proceed to the station exit and follow the walking directions provided above. The MetroLink fare is approximately $2.50 for a one-way trip, and tickets can be purchased at vending machines in the station.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    You can also take a MetroBus to Central West End. Several lines service this area, including the #10 Gravois-Lindell and #32 MLK. Disembark at a stop along Lindell Boulevard and walk south on Euclid Avenue to Maryland Avenue. The Hall of Fame will be a short walk to your right. A one-way bus fare is also approximately $2.50, and tickets can be purchased from the bus driver.
