  • Public Transport

    From Chișinău, take a marshrutka (minibus) from the Central Bus Station (Gara Centrală) to Trebujeni or Butuceni. The journey takes approximately one hour. Tickets cost around 46-52 MDL. From the bus stop in either village, follow the signs to Orheiul Vechi, which involves a walk of 15-30 minutes. Note that marshrutkas to Butuceni do not pass through Trebujeni and vice versa.

  • Taxi/Ride-share

    A taxi or ride-share from Chișinău to Orheiul Vechi takes about 45 minutes to an hour. The cost can vary, but expect to pay around 300-400 MDL. Yandex Taxi is a popular app in Moldova. Note that while this is the most direct option, public transport is readily available and much cheaper.

  • Walking

    If you are in either Butuceni or Trebujeni, follow the main road towards the signposted paths to Orheiul Vechi. From Butuceni, the walk to the complex is shorter, around 15 minutes. From Trebujeni, the walk is closer to 30 minutes. Be prepared for a slightly uphill walk on dirt paths.
