Car
If you have a car, start from the main entrance of Terelj National Park. Drive towards the main road leading to Ulaanbaatar. Follow the signs to Ulaanbaatar, and keep an eye out for the exit towards Gandantegchinlen Monastery, which is located in the BGD - 16 khoroo area of Ulaanbaatar. The monastery is approximately 25 km from the park entrance, and the journey should take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach Ulaanbaatar, follow the signs to the monastery which is located at latitude 47.9231136 and longitude 106.8949841. There is no entry fee for the monastery.

Public Transportation
To reach Gandantegchinlen Monastery via public transportation, start at the main bus station in Terelj National Park. Take a bus heading to Ulaanbaatar. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Ulaanbaatar bus station, you can take a taxi or use local public transport to reach the monastery. Inform the driver to take you to BGD - 16 khoroo, Ulaanbaatar 16040. The taxi fare should be around 5,000 to 10,000 MNT (Mongolian Tugrik), depending on the distance and traffic conditions. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips to Terelj National Park, as they may vary.
