Car
From Durmitor National Park, take the E65 road towards Špiljari. Follow the signs for Kotor. After about 2 hours of scenic driving, you will reach the town of Kotor. Upon entering Kotor, look for signs leading to the Old Town (Stari Grad). Park your car at one of the public parking lots near the Old Town, such as the one at the Kotor Shopping Center. The parking fee will typically cost around €1 per hour.

Walking
From the parking area, walk towards the Old Town entrance. Once inside the Old Town, head towards the stairs that lead up to the Kotor Fortress (San Giovanni Fortress). The trail to the Top Of The Old Kotor Fort starts at the base of the fortress. Follow the well-marked path that zigzags up the hill. The hike is steep and can take about 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. Remember to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Durmitor to Kotor. Buses run regularly from various locations in Durmitor to Kotor, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. You can check the local bus schedule for exact times. Upon arriving in Kotor, follow the same walking directions to the Old Town and then up to the Kotor Fortress as described above.
