Walking
From Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head east towards the main road (Durbar Marg). Follow this road as it leads you out of the square. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at the entrance of Taumadhi Square. At this intersection, turn left onto the road that leads towards Bhadgaon. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the Bhadgaon bus stop. From there, continue walking straight for another 1 km until you enter Madhyapur Thimi. Look for signs directing you to Nagadesh; it should take around 20-25 minutes from the bus stop to reach your destination. The Buddha Vihar is located to your right at the address M9PJ+4Q3. You should see the temple's distinct architecture as you approach.

If you are near Bhaktapur's main bus park, exit towards the main road (Durbar Marg) and turn right. Walk along the road for roughly 2 km. You will pass by various shops and local eateries. Continue until you reach a prominent traffic intersection, where you will notice a sign for Madhyapur Thimi. Turn left at this intersection and walk straight. After about 800 meters, keep an eye out for Nagadesh Buddha Vihar on your right. The approach will be marked by the temple’s large entrance.

From the Bhaktapur bus station, take the path leading to the main road. Walk towards the east for approximately 1.2 km until you reach the Bhaktapur - Madhyapur Thimi border. At this point, you will see a sign that directs you to Nagadesh. Keep walking for about another 600 meters, and you will arrive at Nagadesh Buddha Vihar on your left side. The temple is notable for its serene environment and beautiful architecture.
