Getting There

  • Walking from Thamel

    Start at Thamel, the popular tourist area in Kathmandu. Head north on Tridevi Marg until you reach the junction with the busy Durbar Marg. Cross the street and continue north on the same road, which will become Chaksibari Marg. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with the Ring Road. Turn left onto the Ring Road and walk for about 20 minutes. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for a sign for Balaju Park on your right. The park entrance will be along Trishuli Highway (P8M2+GFM).

  • Public Bus from Ratna Park

    From Ratna Park, which is a central bus hub, find a bus heading to Balaju or Kirtipur. Look for buses that have 'Balaju' written on them.
