Getting There

Walking from Thamel
Start at Thamel, the popular tourist area in Kathmandu. Head north on Tridevi Marg until you reach the junction with the busy Durbar Marg. Cross the street and continue north on the same road, which will become Chaksibari Marg. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with the Ring Road. Turn left onto the Ring Road and walk for about 20 minutes. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for a sign for Balaju Park on your right. The park entrance will be along Trishuli Highway (P8M2+GFM).

Public Bus from Ratna Park
From Ratna Park, which is a central bus hub, find a bus heading to Balaju or Kirtipur. Look for buses that have 'Balaju' written on them. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the bus conductor to let you know when to get off at Balaju Park. Once you disembark, walk towards the Trishuli Highway, where you will see the entrance to the park.

Cycle Rickshaw from Basantapur
If you are starting from Basantapur, you can hire a cycle rickshaw. Negotiate the fare beforehand, and tell the driver to take you to Balaju Park. The ride will take around 25-35 minutes, depending on traffic. The rickshaw will drop you off at the entrance of the park along Trishuli Highway. Enjoy the scenic ride through the streets of Kathmandu!
