Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in Mid-Hills, head towards Kathmandu. Use Google Maps or a GPS device to navigate to the address P8P5+Q78, Kathmandu 44600. Once you reach Kathmandu, follow the signs for Budhanilkantha. The temple is located approximately 8 km north of the city center. You will pass the Ring Road before arriving at the temple area. Parking is available near the temple, but be prepared to pay a small fee (around NPR 50-100).

• Public Transportation (Microbus)

  To reach Budhanilkantha via public transportation, start by finding a microbus heading towards 'Budhanilkantha' from the microbus park in Kathmandu (often located at Ratna Park). The fare is typically around NPR 30-50. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Inform the conductor of your destination so they can let you know when to get off. The microbus will drop you off close to the temple entrance.

  If you are already in the vicinity of Budhanilkantha, you can walk to the temple. Follow the signs that lead to Budhanilkantha Temple from the nearest bus stop or landmark, such as the local market. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest public transport drop-off point.
