From the Thamel area in Kathmandu, walk to the Ratna Park Bus Station. Look for a bus or microbus heading towards Sundarijal or Kakani. The fare is usually around 50 NPR. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. Ensure you inform the driver or conductor that you are heading to Kakani, as some buses may not go directly to the village. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Once you reach the last stop of the bus in Kakani, you will likely be near the Kakani Park Marg. From here, you can walk towards the village center. Follow the signs directing you to Kakani Park, which is a popular destination in the village. The walk will take around 15-20 minutes, and you will be surrounded by beautiful views of the surrounding hills and landscape.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider hiking from Sundarijal. From Thamel, take a local bus to Sundarijal, which is about 30 minutes away. From Sundarijal, follow the trail that leads up to Kakani Village. The hike is about 3-4 hours depending on your pace, and it offers stunning views along the way.
