Getting There

Hiking
From Namche Bazaar, start your hike by heading east towards the trail that leads to Tengboche. Follow the signs for 'Everest Base Camp' as you pass through the small village of Khumjung. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. As you ascend, keep an eye out for vibrant prayer flags and the beautiful landscape. After approximately 2-3 hours of hiking, you will reach the Tengboche Monastery, a great spot for rest and taking in the scenery.

Hiking
Continue from Tengboche, following the trail downhill towards Deboche. After crossing the river, the path will lead you through a beautiful forest. This part of the trek can take another 1-2 hours. You will eventually arrive at the village of Dingboche. Stop here for a break and some refreshments before continuing your trek. The view of Ama Dablam is particularly breathtaking.

Hiking
From Dingboche, your next stop will be Lobuche. Follow the trail that leads you past the memorials for climbers who have lost their lives on Everest. This section can be challenging but rewarding, taking approximately 2-3 hours. As you approach Lobuche, you will see the rocky landscape and the towering peaks around you.

Hiking
Finally, from Lobuche, head towards Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. This final leg of the journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arrival in Gorak Shep, you can take a break at one of the teahouses. From Gorak Shep, the hike to Everest Base Camp is about 2-3 hours, following the signs and the main trail. Be sure to pace yourself and enjoy the magnificent views of the Khumbu Glacier.

Upon reaching Everest Base Camp, take time to soak in the atmosphere and capture photos. This is the culmination of your trek, so enjoy the moment before retracing your steps back to Gorak Shep, and then further back to Namche Bazaar.
