Getting There

Hiking
From Namche Bazaar, start by heading towards the Everest View Hotel. Follow the well-marked trail leading out of Namche, and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains. After approximately 1.5 hours of hiking, you will reach the viewpoint at the Everest View Hotel. From here, continue the trail towards Khumjung. The trail will lead you through beautiful forests and past small villages. After another hour of hiking, you will arrive in Khumjung. From Khumjung, follow the path that leads towards the Khumbu Glacier. This path is well-trodden, and you will pass through scenic landscapes for about 2 hours until you reach the Khumbu Icefall.

Alternatively, you can take a more direct route from Namche Bazaar to the Khumbu Icefall. Start by following the trail that leads from Namche Bazaar towards the village of Tengboche. After about 2 hours, you will come across a junction where you can take a left turn towards the base of the Khumbu Glacier. Continue along this trail for about 1.5 hours, and you will arrive at the edge of the Khumbu Icefall.
