Getting There

Hiking
From Namche Bazaar, start at the main square where you can find the post office and some shops. Head towards the Namche Monastery, which is located on the hill to your left. Follow the trail leading out of Namche, which is well-marked. As you ascend, enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Continue on this path for about 2 hours until you reach the village of Khunde. Here, you can stop for a quick break and enjoy the view. From Khunde, take the path that leads you to Khumjung. You will pass by beautiful terraced fields and local houses. Once in Khumjung, head towards the Khumjung Monastery, then follow signs leading towards the Everest trail. The path will eventually lead you to the Khumbu Glacier. The total hike from Namche to the glacier takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on your pace.
