    From the Leiden Central Station, head out of the station towards the east onto Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Breestraat. Turn right onto Breestraat and walk straight until you reach the Haarlemmerstraat. Here, turn left and walk until you reach the bus stop at Haarlemmerstraat/Hooglandsekerkgracht. Take bus line 43 towards Amsterdam. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the stop called 'Amsterdam, Marnixstraat'. From there, walk straight until you reach the Brouwersgracht; you will see Melkmeisjesbrug ahead.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many bike rental shops around Leiden. Once you have your bike, head towards the Lange Mare and cycle straight to the Morsweg. Take a left onto Morsweg, which will lead you to the N206 highway. Follow this road until you reach the signs for Amsterdam. Once in Amsterdam, follow the signs for the city center, and keep cycling towards Brouwersgracht. The Melkmeisjesbrug will be on your right side.

    From Leiden Central Station, take the NS train direction Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the rear exit, which leads to the bus and tram area. Take tram line 13 or 17 towards 'Zuid' and get off at the 'Westermarkt' stop. Walk straight, and you will soon reach Brouwersgracht. Look for the Melkmeisjesbrug, which is a charming bridge that crosses the canal.
