From The Hague Central Station, take the intercity train heading to Leiden. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located just outside the main entrance. Look for bus number 43, which goes towards Steenstraat. Get off at the 'Steenstraat' bus stop. From there, it is a short walk to the National Museum of Ethnology located at Steenstraat 1B.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in The Hague. Head northwest from the city center towards the A4 highway, following the signs to Leiden. The distance is approximately 15 km and will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you reach Leiden, follow the signs to the city center. Steenstraat is located near the heart of Leiden, and the museum is at Steenstraat 1B.

If you are up for a long walk, you can start from The Hague center and walk towards Leiden. The distance is about 15 km and will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Start from the Grote Markt in The Hague and head towards the Oosteinde, following the signs for Leiden. Once you reach the outskirts of Leiden, continue towards the city center. Steenstraat is easily accessible, and the National Museum of Ethnology is located at Steenstraat 1B.
