    Getting There

    Walking

    If you are in the heart of Cape May, start by heading east on Beach Avenue towards the Cape May Lighthouse. Continue along Beach Avenue until you reach the junction with Sunset Boulevard. Turn right onto Sunset Boulevard and walk straight until you reach the intersection with New Jersey Avenue. Turn left onto New Jersey Avenue and continue walking until you reach the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal. From there, you can catch a ferry to Lewes, Delaware. Once you arrive in Lewes, follow the signs for Route 1 North and then take Route 1 to Bethany Beach. From Bethany Beach, follow Garfield Parkway west until you reach the Bethany Beach Nature Center at 807 Garfield Pkwy.

    Bicycle

    For a more adventurous route, rent a bicycle in Cape May. Start at the bike rental shop and head north along Beach Avenue. Follow the bike path through the scenic coastal route towards the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal. After crossing the ferry to Lewes, pedal north on Route 1, which has bike lanes. Continue on Route 1, then take the exit for Bethany Beach. Follow the signs to Garfield Parkway and you will find the Bethany Beach Nature Center at 807 Garfield Pkwy. This route offers beautiful coastal views and a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

    Public Transport

    From Cape May, you will need to take a local bus (DART First State Bus) to reach Bethany Beach. Head to the nearest bus stop on Beach Avenue and board a bus heading towards Lewes. Inform the driver that you are heading to Bethany Beach. Once you arrive at the Bethany Beach bus terminal, exit the bus and head west on Garfield Parkway. The Bethany Beach Nature Center is located at 807 Garfield Pkwy, just a short walk from the terminal.
