Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Red Bank, start at the Red Bank train station. Head north on West Front Street until you reach the intersection with Maple Avenue. Turn left onto Maple Avenue and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Monmouth Street. Turn right onto Monmouth Street and walk until you reach the waterfront. Follow the path along the Navesink River, which will lead you to the ferry terminal. Take the ferry from Red Bank to Highlands. Once you arrive in Highlands, walk towards the beach area, and Battery Engle is located nearby at the northern end of the beach.

    Start at the Red Bank train station and take the NJ Transit train towards Long Branch. Get off at the next stop, which is the Little Silver station. From there, walk to the bus stop and catch the local bus that heads to Highlands. Once you reach Highlands, follow the waterfront path towards Battery Engle, which is located near the northern beach area.
