Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from the Valles Caldera National Preserve, head east on NM-4 towards the town of Jemez Springs. Continue on NM-4 for approximately 22 miles until you reach the intersection with US-84. Turn left onto US-84 and continue for about 8 miles until you reach the intersection with NM-502. Turn right onto NM-502 and follow it for about 5 miles until you reach the roundabout at the entrance of Santa Fe. Take the second exit onto St. Francis Drive (NM-285). After around 2 miles, turn right onto Cities of Gold Road. The Poeh Cultural Center & Museum will be on your left at 78 Cities of Gold Rd.

    To reach the Poeh Cultural Center & Museum using public transportation, you will first need to take a shuttle or bus service from Valles Caldera to the nearest town, Jemez Springs. From Jemez Springs, you can catch a bus (check local schedules) heading towards Santa Fe. Once in Santa Fe, you can disembark at the Santa Fe Depot. From there, take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach 78 Cities of Gold Rd, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from the depot.
