A brief summary to Explore Adirondack Frontier

Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Lake Placid, take NY-86 W towards Saranac Lake. Continue on NY-86 W for approximately 20 miles. When you reach Saranac Lake, take the exit onto NY-3 W. Follow NY-3 W for about 25 miles until you reach Malone. Once in Malone, turn left onto W Main St. Explore Adirondack Frontier will be on your right at 355 W Main St. Expect a travel time of around 45 minutes from Lake Placid.

  • Car

    From Ticonderoga, head north on NY-9N towards Crown Point. After about 10 miles, merge onto I-87 N (Adirondack Northway). Take exit 30 for NY-73 N toward Keene. Continue on NY-73 N until it merges with NY-3 W. Follow NY-3 W for approximately 30 miles until you reach Malone. In Malone, turn left onto W Main St, and Explore Adirondack Frontier will be on your right at 355 W Main St. This route will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a Greyhound bus or Adirondack Trailways from major cities like Albany or New York City to Malone. Once you arrive at the Malone bus station, you can either walk to Explore Adirondack Frontier (approximately 0.5 miles) or call a local taxi service to get there. The taxi fare should be around $10. The bus journey can take approximately 4-6 hours depending on your starting location.
