If you are driving from Lake Placid, NY, take NY-73 W towards Keene. After approximately 15 miles, turn left onto NY-9N S. Continue on NY-9N S for about 14 miles until you reach the intersection with NY-86. Turn right onto NY-86 W and drive for about 7 miles. Then, turn left onto County Route 12 (also known as Jay Mountain Road) and follow this road for about 3 miles. The trailhead for Jay Mountain Wilderness will be on your left. Please note that parking is limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.
