Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the center of Montauk, near the Montauk Train Station. Head east on Market Place towards the intersection with Main Street (NY-27). Turn left onto Main Street and continue until you reach the intersection with South Erie Avenue. Turn right onto South Erie Avenue and walk straight until you reach the end, where it meets East Lake Drive. At this point, you’ll see the water. Turn left onto East Lake Drive and continue until you reach the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt County Park, located at Third House. The park is situated on the left side of East Lake Drive.

  • Biking

    Begin at the Montauk Train Station and bike east along Market Place until you reach Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and proceed to South Erie Avenue. Turn right onto South Erie Avenue, and then follow it until you reach East Lake Drive. Turn left onto East Lake Drive and continue biking straight. Theodore Roosevelt County Park will be on your left at Third House.

  • Public Transport

    From the Montauk Train Station, take the Montauk Loop Shuttle (check the current schedule for the latest routes) heading towards East Lake Drive. Ask the driver to drop you off near Third House.
