From White Plains, walk to the White Plains Metro North station. Board a train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, transfer to the subway. Take the 7 train from Grand Central to Times Square-42 St. From there, switch to the 1 or 2 train heading downtown towards South Ferry or Brooklyn. Get off at the 59th St-Columbus Circle station. Exit the station and walk north on 8th Ave. Continue walking for about 5 minutes and you will reach the General William Tecumseh Sherman Monument located at 764 Doris C Freedman Pl.
